Kentucky Derby Day

Happy Kentucky Derby Day! And wouldn't you know it? I missed it this year. Which is a real bummer because it certainly was an exciting race. Kevin called me when it was over. He normally doesn't watch it but he did this time because I had told him that I was going to. Oops! At least I'm glad that it was such a good one for him to watch. Wasn't "Mine That Bird" incredible?

I am so glad that today is over with! At the beginning of this week I had a laundry list of projects to complete and of this minute I have finished ALL of them! Yippee! What a WONDERFUL feeling! And even though I missed out on a trip to North Carolina, it was worth it....and not only that but I had the pleasure of seeing my beautiful daughter and son-in-law quite a bit as well. Well at least I finished all the office projects.....I still have laundry to do...and vacuuming. But I'll get those done and then leave for Knoxville in the morning. I do wish that I had been able to see Kim this week, but at least I got to see Rob.

Then on Friday, the 8th we head out to the Outer Banks. I'm really looking forward to seeing Kim, Rob, Veronica and Marte there. I am SOOOO glad that they can come! Veronica & Marte are coming Sat and leaving Sun and then Kim and Rob come Monday night and stay until Thursday afternoon. Yippee! That should really be fun! Much different than last year when I was by myself. Although last year, I really needed to be by myself for a bit.

Well, the bed is calling me.
